Tammy and Erik Tweedy recently opened a custom painting business called Stressed Out LLC that repurposes kitchen and bathroom cabinets to give them a distressed look. Tweedy says he thinks the distressed, antique style of painting is popular right now, and the company is working on six to eight projects at any given time. In April of , Wheaton College held a chapel that maintained a single story about sexual and gender identity. On April 29, , a group of Wheaton alumni united together at Wheaton College to share a multiplicity of narratives. While there have been some positive changes at Wheaton since , Wheaton College still speaks with one voice, maintaining that LGBTQ people exist as a symptom of a sinful and broken world and so must choose celibacy or attempt to be heterosexual.
Christopher plans to pursue a career in teaching because of his passion for music and his desire to positively impact youth who are marginalized, bullied, or underrepresented. As a teacher, leader, and role model, Christopher wants to use his dedication for supporting youth to create a safe and empowering place for students to express themselves, be creative, and receive a well-rounded education. He plans on being an advocate for students and helping connect youth with important resources. One memory has stuck with Christopher since his visit to an elementary school in Federal Way about three years ago.
